かつて、デヴビッド・ボウイやU2の
プロデュースで有名になった人です

とは言え若い人は知らないだろうし
マニアックといえばマニアックな展示会だと思います

ただ最近寝るときアンビエント音楽聴きながら寝てるし
こんなマニアックな個展が(しかも大規模な！)
京都でやってるなんて。。
行くしかないでしょう！

って事で行ってきました。

However, young people may not know
Speaking of maniac, I think it’s a maniac exhibition

But lately, when I go to bed, I’m sleeping while listening to ambient music.
Such a maniac solo exhibition (and large scale!)
What are you doing in Kyoto? .
I have no choice but to go!

So I went.

結論　Conclusion

先に結論を言っておくと
本当に最高な体験をする事が出来ました

音と光に癒されるという事を
実感した瞬間

音でデトックス体験をする事が出来ました

音楽で本当に人を癒すことが出来るんだ
そんな事を実感しつつ
癒しの音楽のすばらしさに改めて
気づかされる体験でした

ブライアンイーノ展へ
To the Brian Eno exhibition

場所は京都中央信用金庫の旧厚生センターと言う場所

京都駅から降りてすぐでした。

The location is the old welfare center of the Kyoto Chuo Shinkin Bank.

It was right after getting off from Kyoto station.

11時会場で12時に入ったので、
結構早めに入った方だと思います。

正直ブライアンイーノ展なんて人が
多いのか少ないのか分からなかったから
混雑してるかどうかは
行くまで全く想像できませんでしたが
待つのは嫌なんで事前に
予約してから向かうことにしました。

予約は正解だったと思います。

I entered the venue at 12:00 at 11:00,
I think you came in pretty early.

To be honest, who is the Brian Eno exhibition?
I didn’t know if it was more or less
whether it is crowded
I had no idea until I went
I don’t want to wait so in advance
I made a reservation and decided to go.

I think the reservation was correct.

それほど多い訳ではないけど
近くまで行くと建物の前で記念撮影してる人多数。

しかも、年齢層の広さに驚きました！
(正直オタクなオッサン・オバサン中心かと思ってた)

学生位の子から、お爺ちゃんお婆ちゃんまで。

しかも、近くで会話聞いたら関東から来たとか！！
ブライアンイーノさすが！

期待を膨らませ場内に！

It’s not that many
Many people take a commemorative photo in front of the building when you go close.

Moreover, I was surprised by the size of the age group!
(Honestly, I thought it was mainly nerdy old men and women)

From a student child to grandpa and grandma.

Moreover, when I heard a conversation nearby, I was told that I came from Kanto! !
Brian Eno is great!

館内に入る

入口から入ると直ぐに場内の説明を受けましたが
すでにシンセのサウンドが漏れ聴こえる。
良い感じ。

場内は３階建てで展示スペースが4つに分かれてます。
「TheShip」「Face to Face」
「Light Boxes」「77 Million Paintings」

As soon as I entered from the entrance, I received an explanation of the inside of the hall.
I can already hear the sound of the synth leaking out.
Good feeling.

The exhibition space is divided into four areas on three floors.
“The Ship” “Face to Face”
“Light Boxes” “77 Million Paintings”

それに加え各通路や階段にもSonosのスピーカーで
各展示スペースの間を繋いでくれています。

建物全体がブライアンイーノのオブジェとなってます。

In addition, Sonos speakers are installed in each hallway and staircase.
It connects each exhibition space.

The entire building is an object of Brian Eno.

「TheShip」

スタッフの方から
3階の「TheShip」を最初に体験するのが
お勧めですよと言われ階段で3階まで

部屋に入ると真っ暗

かろうじてスピーカーと座っている人が
見える程度の証明
その部屋の中をブライアンイーノの音楽が流れている

部屋のどこにいても
床に座っても最高の音が聞こえる様に
設計されているんです。

入る前にスタッフの人に言われた通り
部屋中をアンビエントなサウンドが包み込んでいました

音に癒される
本当に実感できる素晴らしい体験でした

正直無限に部屋にいてしまいそうなので
ある程度で切り上げて次の展示室へ向かいました。

After a while, I headed to the next exhibition room.

「Face to Face」

「Face to Face」は画面上に3人の顔が映し出されていて
ゆっくりと顔が変化していきます。

余りにゆっくりなので分かり難いのですが
子供から大人へ
男性から女性へ
アンビエントサウンドと共に
ゆっくりと変化していきます。

“Face to Face” shows three faces on the screen
The face changes slowly.

It’s too slow, so it’s hard to understand
from children to adults

「Light Boxes」

「Light Boxes」も四角形の光のオブジェが
ゆっくりしたスピードで変化していく
そんな展示となっていました。

“Light Boxes” is also a square light object.

LEDの色がゆっくりと変化していく

アンビエント音楽とおなじ
本当にゆっくりしたスピードで

「77 Million Paintings」

「77 Million Paintings」は一番巨大な展示でした

上下左右に3メーター以上はあるオブジェが
変化し続けていく

同じ組み合わせはほぼ存在しない
瞬間のアート

巨大なアートを前に
アンビエントなサウンドで
陶酔していきます

“77 Million Paintings” was the largest exhibition

Objects with 3 meters or more on the top, bottom, left and right
keep changing

The same combination is almost non-existent

最後に
Closing

今回のブライアン・イーノ展

なかなか日常では感じる事の出来ない
異世界体験のできる素晴らしい展示だと
思います。

音楽の癒しの可能性を実感することも出来ました。

なかなか日本でこれほど大規模なアンビエントの展示も
珍しいのではないでしょうか

9月3日まで京都で開催されているので
関西の人は特に体験してほしいと思います。

I can’t quite feel it in my daily life
It’s a wonderful exhibition where you can experience a different world
think.

I was able to realize the healing potential of music.

Such a large-scale ambient exhibition in Japan
I think it’s rare

It will be held in Kyoto until September 3rd.
I would especially like people from Kansai to experience this.
